Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Perceptlayer API, website and dashboard (the "service"), provided by [Company legal name] ("we"). By creating an account or calling the API you agree to them.

Your account

You must give a valid email address and keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for all calls made with your keys. Tell us at once if you think a key has leaked; you can revoke keys in the dashboard.

Credits and payment

The service is prepaid. Each successful call uses the credits shown for its endpoint; failed calls are free. Free credits are granted monthly to accounts that have not bought credits and carry no cash value. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from purchase. Payments, taxes and invoices are handled by our payment provider acting as merchant of record.

Acceptable use

You must follow the acceptable use policy and, for restricted endpoints, the restricted-endpoint terms. We may suspend accounts that break them.

Data and availability

Data is collected from publicly available sources and returned as it was found at the time of the call. We do not guarantee that any source will remain available or that results are complete or accurate. We aim for high availability but offer no service level unless agreed in writing.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email. You can close your account at any time. Unused purchased credits are refundable only as set out in the refund policy.
